AI glossary · a term from The AI Stairway™
Carrying the outcome
Carrying the outcome is being the person who makes sure a piece of work achieves what it was for, not just that the task got done. In The AI Stairway™ course’s words: AI touches tasks; people carry outcomes. Whoever sends or signs off AI’s work still owns whether it’s right.
Think of it as
Posting a parcel, against making sure it arrived.
Why it matters at work
AI can take on more of the tasks, but the responsibility doesn’t move to the tool. Module 2 teaches it, and Module 9 keeps the outcome with a person when work is handed to an agent.
This is a term The AI Stairway™ course uses for its own method; you won’t find it in every AI glossary.
